Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Bloom app. By downloading or using Bloom, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About Bloom

Bloom is a daily gratitude journal app developed and operated by JCLN Studios (Aaron Maraccini), an Australian sole trader. The app is available on Apple's App Store for iOS devices.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Bloom. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the app.

3. Bloom Premium — Subscriptions

Bloom offers an optional premium subscription ("Bloom Premium") that unlocks additional features. The following terms apply to subscriptions:

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID on a monthly or annual basis.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except where required by law.
• Free trials, if offered, will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

4. Your Content

Your journal entries belong to you. They are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not access, read, or use your journal entries in any way. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. If you delete the app, your entries will be permanently deleted.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the app or its related systems.
• Reproduce, duplicate, or resell any part of the app without our express written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

All content within the Bloom app — including the mascot character, plant illustrations, design, text, and code — is owned by JCLN Studios and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the app without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Bloom is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that the app will meet your specific requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JCLN Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Bloom app — including loss of data or loss of journal entries.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that apply to digital products.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
